Production Process

So, you have a great idea for the next great film or the next great film franchise and you want to produce your idea. How is this done in TSG? It's a fairly simple process and goes as follows:

  1. The first thing you must do is to decide if you want to be a producer or a studio owner. Producers are responsible for all production aspects of a film. They can produce a film independently or through a studio. Studio owners (aka Executive Producers) control all aspects of their studio including purchasing films, marketing their films, releasing films, etc.
  2. Once you decide this, you must register at as the film production area requires a membership.
  3. Once registered, go to the "Film Production Room" page on the site and fill out the form and submit it.
  4. Once your film is submitted, the TSG Film Board (Admins) will review the film and verify if the requested cast accepts the role. Any talent that declines will need to be either re-cast or negotiated with in the talent negotiation page.
  5. Once your film is approved, it will be put into production. Each genre has a length of production (LOP) that is used to determine how long it will take for a film to be completed. Once a film is completed, the producer and/or studio head will be sent a copy of the production report to review the final product. If any edits wish to be performed, a request should be submitted to the Film Board and an additional week will be added to the production.
  6. Once a film is finalized and completed, it can be scheduled for release by the studio and then released to the TSG universe.
